The Nembe Community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The community also endorsed Rt. Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli for Senate, Hon. Jonathan Robinson Obuebite, PhD, for the House of Representatives and all APC candidates for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly from the area.
The endorsement was announced on Friday when the Nembe Community in Port Harcourt hosted a delegation of the APC from Nembe Local Government Area.
The delegation was led by the Bayelsa State APC Deputy Chairman, Hon. Ayobegha James and Chief Kuroghofa Walter Benwari.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Chief Reverend Fente Thomas Abrakassa, the Gbudugbudu I of Niger Delta and MD/CEO of Fenma Investments, Hon. Amunaboye Clement Esq., popularly known as Amoro and MD/CEO of Amotoi Group, and Mr. Tuguemi Ebi Inala, MD/CEO of Epenal Group, said the decision was informed by their conviction that President Tinubu and the APC candidates have the capacity, experience and commitment to deliver growth, development and good governance to Nembe, Bayelsa State and Nigeria at large.
They also commended Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, for sustaining peace in Nembe and Bayelsa State, and for the construction of the Nembe Unity Bridge, the Nembe-Brass Road and other infrastructural projects across the state.
The community pledged to mobilise votes for all the endorsed candidates from the presidential level to the State House of Assembly.
In his remarks, the Bayelsa State APC Deputy Chairman, Hon. James, lauded the Nembe Community in Port Harcourt for its unity and support, assuring them that the party remains committed to policies that will bring prosperity, security and infrastructural development to Nembe and Bayelsa State.
Also speaking, Chief Benwari urged members of the community to sustain their support for the party and work collectively to ensure victory for all APC candidates in 2027.
Responding, the endorsed candidates thanked the community for the confidence reposed in them and assured that they would remain accessible and committed to translating the yearnings and aspirations of the people into tangible outcomes.
They pledged to maintain strong grassroots connection and make the welfare of the people central to their representation.
